Jonathan Broxton’s Comeback Could Be Delayed Till July
Bad News for Broxton owners IF you believe Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti. During an interview on Friday that he expects Broxton by July. Original reports were placing Broxton back by mid-June and I reported late June. He threw successful bullpen sessions Tuesday and Thursday and could start a rehab assignment next week. Here is the latest 411 on injured closers. David Aardsma, SEA Aardsma is still rehabbing is his sprained ligament in his right elbow. He has not begun a throwing program and isn’t due back till early August. Brad Lidge, PHI Lidge threw a scoreless inning in extended spring training on Saturday and didn’t feel any pain according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Jonathan Broxton Put On DL With Bone Spur

Broxton Has Elbow Pain, Possibly Headed To DL
According to the Dodgers, Jonathan Broxton complained of elbow pain after last nights wild performance. He’s had pain all season, but has played through it. His velocity has been down from 98-99 MPH to 95-96 MPH. Mattingly expects to place Broxton on the DL after a doctor checks out his ailing elbow via an MRI.
