Lindstrom Notches 2nd Save, No Worries For Street
Matt Lindstrom has been pitching well this season and since last Saturday the Colorado Rockies setup man has two saves in as many chances. In six innings of work, Lindstrom has a ERA of 1.59, a matching WHIP, and four Ks. He entered today’s game after Huston Street was having problems ending the game versus the Mets. I’m not even sure why Street was pitching today. He has saved games on the 10, 11, and 13. He was clearly in need of rest and it showed.
There are no reported injuries, and Street is nowhere near losing his job. Don’t expect him to pitch in game two today or tomorrow. As for Lindstrom, he is carrying more value with how many save chances the Rockies are providing. Fantasy managers shouldn’t get too excited about Lindstrom. We’ve seen him pitch well before, only to get lit up and lose control later in the season. Regardless, if you own Street, own Lindstrom.
