Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation giving up one walk in the outing. This was Johnson’s first appearance since Wednesday so he will be good-to-go for Sunday’s game. (06/10/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on three hits and needed 24 pitches to get through the appearance. He was charged with his third blown-save of the season, but the offense was able to battle back to win the game so he was off the hook. (06/10/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Saturday giving up just one hit while striking out one batter in the outing. With this appearance O’Day lowered his earned-run average to 1.84 on the season. (06/10/12)

(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing the other batter to ground out. (06/10/12)
(SU) Franklin Morales (L)–Pitched three innings of relief on Saturday retiring all nine batters he faced in order striking out three. This was Morales second straight appearance being used in long relief so it appears the Red Sox will be using him in this role from now on. (06/10/12)
(MR) Vicente Padilla (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He threw 10 pitches in the appearance forcing two ground ball outs and one fly ball out. (06/07/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Picked up his first win of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. This was Reed’s first appearance since giving up two runs on Saturday, so he appears to have turned the corner. (06/08/12)
(SU) Matt Thornton (L)– Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday night giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. The run he allowed was unearned, so at least he didn’t hurt his owners in holds leagues too much. (06/09/12)
(MR) Hector Santiago (L)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Friday surrendering two runs on one hit and one walk while striking out two batters. Santiago needed 29 pitches to get through the appearance in what was his first outing his last Saturday. (06/09/12)
Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. Perez has now pitched consecutive days and may be unavailable on Thursday. (06/07/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He needed only eight pitches to get through the inning and lowered his earned-run average to 2.28 on the season. (06/07/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Picked up his eighth hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless sixth inning. Sipp has been shaky thus far in 2012, but he will continue to rack up holds as the season progresses. (06/07/12)
Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Recorded his 11th save of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. This was a great outing for Valverde, who is usually known for his high pitch counts, but he only threw 11 pitches in this outing to get the job done. (06/10/12)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out two batters in the appearance and forced the other batter to fly out. (06/10/12)
(MR) Octavio Dotel (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. He needed 29 pitches to get through the appearance and will likely be given the day off on Sunday after pitching in back-to-back games. (06/03/12)
Kansas City Royals
(CL) Jonathan Broxton (R)–Recorded his 14th save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. He gave up one hit and one walk in the outing, but was able to get out of the jam by forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs. (06/06/12)
(SU) Greg Holland (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday giving up one walk in the outing. Since returning from the disabled-list last month Holland has been excellent and is likely next in line if Jonathan Broxton as to go down with an injury. (06/10/12)
(MR) Aaron Crow (R)–Pitched a scoreless sixth inning on Saturday retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out two batters in the appearance and now has three strikeouts in his last two innings of relief. (06/10/12)

(CL) Ernesto Frieri (R)– Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter. Frieri continued his hot start on Saturday and has yet to give up an earned-run thus far in 2012. (06/10/12)
(SU) Scott Downs (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Downs continued his great start to the season on Wednesday and has yet to give up an earned-run. (06/07/120
(MR) Jordan Walden (R)–Pitched the ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation giving up one run on two hits while striking out two batters. Walden needed 23 pitches to get through the appearance and raised his earned-run average to 3.20 on the season. (06/09/12)
Minnesota Twins
(CL) Matt Capps (R)–Picked up his first win of the season on Friday night after pitching a scoreless 10th inning giving up two hits while striking out one batter. Despite allowing two base runners, Capps was able to force two fly ball outs to go along with his strikeout to get out of the jam. (06/09/12)
(SU) Glen Perkins (L)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday after giving up two runs on three hits in 0.2 innings of relief. Perkins was really on a role as of late, but this was definitely a step back for him. (06/09/12)
(MR) Brian Duensing (L)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Tuesday night giving up one hit in the outing. He threw just 11 pitches in the appearance forcing all three batters he faced to ground out. (06/06/12)
New York Yankees
(CL) Rafael Soriano (R)–Recorded his ninth save of the season on Saturday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. He gave up one hit and one walk in the appearance, but was able to get out of the jam by forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to end the game. (06/10/12)
(SU) Boone Logan (R)–Picked up his sixth hold of the season on Saturday after forcing the only batter that he faced in the seventh inning to fly out. This was Logan’s first appearance since last Saturday, and with throwing just four pitches, he should be good-to-go for the next few days. (06/10/12)
(MR) Cory Wade (R)–Picked up his seventh hold of the season on Saturday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief. He gave up one hit in the outing, but was able to get through the appearance but forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out to record the first two outs of the eighth inning. (06/10/12)

Oakland Athletics
(CL) Brian Fuentes (L)–Took the loss on Friday night after giving up a three-run home run to Ryan Roberts in the ninth inning. Fuentes has now given up four runs in his last 2.2 innings of relief and may find himself outside of the closer role if he keeps this up. (06/09/12)
(SU) Ryan Cook(R)–Picked up his 11th hold of the season on Friday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He gave up one hit while striking out three batters in the appearance, which was his first outing since last Saturday. (06/09/12)
(MR) Grant Balfour (R)–Picked up his second hold of the season on Friday after pitching 1.1 innings of relief giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. He needed 25 pitches to get through the appearance and has now pitched in back-to-back games. (06/09/12)

Seattle Mariners
(CL) Tom Wilhelmsen (R)–Recorded his third save of the season on Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order on nine pitches. Wilhelmsen is really starting to settle into the closer role for the Mariners and should keep that role for the foreseeable future. (06/09/12)
(SU) Brandon League (R)–Picked up his third hold of the season on Friday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief retiring both batters he faced in order. He needed only nine pitches to get through the outing and struck out one batter in his efforts. (06/09/12)
(MR) Stephen Pryor (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Saturday forcing the only two batters he faced to fly out to end the ninth inning. Pryor has now pitched in back-to-back games and three of the last four days, so don’t expect to see him in action on Sunday. (06/10/12)

(CL) Fernando Rodney (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night giving up one walk while striking out one batter. Rodney has now pitched in back-to-back games, but was only used for one out yesterday so he should still be available for Saturday. (06/09/12)
(SU) Joel Peralta (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday giving up one walk while striking out one batter. He threw 15 pitches in the appearance, which was his first outing since last Saturday. (06/09/12) (MR) J.P. Howell (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Thursday giving up one run on one hit in the ninth inning. The run came via a Russell Martin home run in nobody on, but it was enough for Joe Madden to not allow him to finish out the inning. (06/08/12)

(CL) Joe Nathan (R)–Recorded his 12th save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Nathan lowered his earned-run average to 1.90 on the season. (06/06/12)
(SU) Mike Adams (R)–Picked up his 10th hold of the season on Tuesday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He allowed one walk while striking out one batter and needed 17 pitches to get through the appearance. (06/06/12)
(MR) Koji Uehara (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday surrendering two runs on four hits while striking out one batter. He needed 25 pitches to get through the appearance, which was his first since last Saturday. (06/10/12)
Toronto Blue Jays
(CL) Casey Janssen (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation giving up one hit in the outing. Janssen has now strung together two straight solid outings after a terrible performance last Tuesday. (06/04/12)
(SU) Jason Frasor (R)– Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out two batters. He needed 19 pitches to get through the appearance and has now pitched in back-to-back games. (06/09/12)
(MR) Francisco Cordero (R)–Took a loss for the second straight game Friday night after recording just one out in the 10th inning. He gave up one run, which was not earned, but he was still on the mound when the runner crossed home plate, so he was charged with the loss. (06/09/12)

(CL) J.J. Putz (R)–Picked up his third win of the season on Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out two batters. This was Putz’s first appearance since last Saturday so expect him to be available for the rest of the weekend. (06/09/12)
(SU) David Hernandez (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on two hits and two walks. He was used in the ninth inning in a non-save situation so the run that he allowed was a non-factor. (06/10/12)
(MR) Bryan Shaw (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning giving up one hit in the appearance. With this outing, Shaw has now lowered his earned run average to 3.57 on the season and has been solid in the seventh inning role. (06/09/12)

(CL) James Russell (L)–Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Friday night giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter. After a great start to the season, Russell has now given up a run in back-to-back games. (06/09/12)
(CL) Shawn Camp (R)–Took the loss and picked up his second blown-save of the season on Friday after surrendering two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one batter. Camp threw 30 pitches in the outing and has now pitched in back-to-back games. (06/09/12)
(MR) Carlos Marmol (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday surrendering three runs on three hits while striking out one batter. This was a terrible outing for Marmol and he has now given up four runs in his last 1.2 innings of relief. (06/07/12)

(CL) Aroldis Chapman (L)–Took the loss on Thursday after giving up his first earned-run of the season on two hits while striking out two batters. Chapman has now pitched back-to-back days and may be given the day off on Friday. (06/08/12)
(SU) Sean Marshall (L)–Took the loss on Saturday after giving up one run on two hits and one walk in 1.1 innings of relief. He failed to get through the eighth inning and needed to get relieved after recording just two outs. (06/10/12)
(MR) Jose Arrenondo (R)–Was charged with his first blown-save of the season on Friday night after giving up one run on two hits in 1.2 innings of relief. Despite a below-average performance, Arrenondo is still sitting on a 2.22 earned-run average on the season. (06/09/12)

(SU) Matt Belisle (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night giving up one hit in the outing. He needed only 10 pitches to get through the appearance in what was his first outing since Monday. (06/09/12)
(MR) Matt Reynolds (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation giving up one hit in the outing. He needed 12 pitches to get through the appearance and forced two ground ball outs and one fly ball out to get the job done. (06/10/12)
Houston Astros
(CL)Brett Myers (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. With this outing Myers lowered his earned-run average to 2.14 on the season. (06/09/12)
(SU) Brandon Lyon (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Saturday striking out the only batter that he faced on six pitches. He was called upon after Rhiner Cruz gave up four runs in the inning, so Lyon was likely not going to pitch in this game if that didn’t happen. (06/10/12)

(SU) Francisco Rodriguez (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out two batters. This was a much better appearance for Rodriguez that what he showed on Thursday when he gave up two runs on three hits. (06/10/12)
(MR) Kameron Loe (R)–Picked up his fourth hold of the season on Friday night after pitching 1.1 innings of relief throwing just six pitches in the appearance. This was Loe’s first outing since Sunday, so with that low of a pitch count, he should be good-to-go for the rest of the weekend. (06/09/12)

(CL) Frank Francisco (R)–Recorded his 15th save of the season on Thursday despite giving up one run on one hit in the ninth inning. The run came via a Ryan Zimmerman home run, but luckily for Francisco no one was on base at the time. (06/08/12)
(SU) Jon Rauch (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night giving up one hit in the outing. This was Rauch’s first appearance since Monday when he gave up two runs in a losing effort and should be good-to-go for the rest of this weekend’s series. (06/09/12)
(MR) Bobby Parnell (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. The run came via a Curtis Granderson home run, but besides one pitch, Parnell looked good. (06/10/12)
Philadelphia Phillies
(CL) Jonathan Papelbon (R)–Recorded his 16th save of the season on Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. He gave up one hit while striking out one batter in the appearance lowering his earned-run average to 2.22 on the season. (06/09/12)

(MR) Chad Qualls (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Saturday giving up one hit while striking out two batters on 28 pitches thrown. With that high of a pitch count, don’t expect to see him used on Sunday. (06/10/12)

(SU) Jason Grilli (R)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season on Friday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning striking out one batter in the appearance. With this outing Grilli has lowered his earned-run average to 1.57 on the season. (06/09/12)
(MR) Chris Resop (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up three hits in the outing. He loaded the bases in the fifth inning, but was able to get the job done by forcing three fly ball outs to get out of the jam. (06/10/12)
Injured–Chris Leroux (60-Day DL)

(CL) Huston Street (R)–Recorded his fifth save of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. This is Street’s first save since returning from the disabled-list earlier in the week and he looked much sharper than his first outing on Tuesday. (06/10/12)
(SU) Dale Thayer (R)–Picked up his first hold of the season on Saturday after pitching 0.1 innings of relief. With Andrew Cashner now in the starting rotation expect Thayer to take over the setup role for the Padres, which means increased value in holds leagues. (06/10/12)
(MR) Luke Gregerson (R)–Picked up his seventh hold of the season on Saturday after pitching one inning of relief. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing a fly ball out for the other out. (06/10/12)
San Francisco Giants
(CL) Santiago Casilla (R)–Recorded his 16th save of the season on Saturday after striking out the last batter in the ninth inning on four pitches. He was called upon to finish out the game after Clay Hensley gave up a home run in the ninth inning, and was able to get the job done fast for a cheap-save. (06/10/12)
(SU) Sergio Romo (R)–Romo faced just one batter on Saturday and forced him to ground out on five pitches. Since Santiago Casilla returned from injury don’t expect to see Romo to get any save chances, but at least we now know he can close it needed. (06/10/12)
(MR) Javier Lopez (L)–Failed to record an out Saturday after giving up a hit to the only batter that he faced in the eighth inning. He was used for a certain situation, so even though he only gave up one hit he was removed so Sergio Romo could face a right-handed batter. (06/10/12)

(SU) Mitchell Boggs (R)–Picked up his eighth hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching one inning of relief giving up two hits in the appearance. He gave up two hits, but was able to get out of the jam by forcing a ground ball and a fly ball out. (06/07/12)
(MR) Eduardo Sanchez (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday retiring all three batters he faced in order on 11 pitches thrown. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out. (06/08/12)
Washington Nationals
(CL) Tyler Clippard (R)–Recorded his seventh save of the season on Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. He gave up one hit in the outing and has now pitched in back-to-back games. (06/10/12)
