Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 23rd save of the season on Friday night despite giving up one run on two hits in the ninth inning. Despite giving up one run, Johnson is still sitting on a 1.30 earned-run average on the season. (06/30/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 13th hold of the season on Friday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out on five pitches thrown. (06/30/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday after giving up one run on four hits in the seventh inning. Despite the rough outing, O’Day is still sitting on a 2.38 earned-run average on the season. (06/30/12)
Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He threw 12 pitches in the appearance forcing three fly ball outs. (06/27/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Picked up his 17th hold of the season on Tuesday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out two batters in the appearance while lowering is earned-run average to 3.86 on the season. (06/27/12)
(MR) Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday retiring all three batters he faced in order. He needed only eight pitches to get through the appearance forcing two ground ball outs and one fly ball out. (06/28/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 11th save of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. He was saved by a great catch by Alex Rios on a ball that Derek Jeter hit to the wall which would’ve won the game for the Yankees, but luckily Rios was able to make a great play to hold onto the win. (SU) Matt Thornton (L)– Pitched one inning of relief on Friday night giving up one run on three hits while striking out one batter. He was used in the seventh inning, which is earlier than most of his appearances this season, but it was in a non-pressure situation. (06/30/12)
(MR) Hector Santiago (L)–Picked up the win on Thursday after pitching one inning of relief giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. It wasn’t the best of outings from Santiago, but it was nice to see him keep it together and pick up the win. (06/29/12)
Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Friday giving up one run on two hits while striking out two batters. He was used in the ninth inning to try and keep the game close, but he ended up serving up a home run to Xavier Avery to extend the Orioles lead. (06/30/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday afternoon giving up one run on three hits while striking out one batter. Even with this appearance, Pestano’s earned-run average still sits at 2.10 on the season. (06/28/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Tuesday night giving up one run on one hit. The run came via a Alex Rodriguez home run in the seventh inning, which raised his earned-run average to 6.66 on the season. (06/27/12)
Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Recorded his 14th save of the season on Thursday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. He threw just nine pitches in the appearance forcing three fly ball outs to get the job done. (06/29/12)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)–Picked up his 18th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit in the outing. With this appearance Benoit lowered his earned-run average to 1.80 in the season. (06/29/12)
(MR) Phil Coke (L)–Picked up his 12th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Coke has been solid over the last few weeks of the season and should start to get consideration in holds leagues. (06/29/12)
Kansas City Royals
(CL) Jonathan Broxton (R)–Recorded his 20th save of the season on Friday night despite giving up two runs on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning. This was a rough outing for Broxton and luckily for him the Royals had a big enough lead that he didn’t blow the game. (06/30/12)
(SU) Greg Holland (R)–Picked up his seventh hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning giving up one hit and one walk while striking out two batters. He allowed two base runners in the appearance, but was able to get out of the jam by striking out two batters and forcing one fly ball out. (06/28/12)
(MR) Aaron Crow (R)–Picked up a win on Wednesday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out one batter. He entered the game in relief on Tim Collins in the eighth inning, who couldn’t get the job done, which lead to him getting the victory. (06/28/12)

Los Angeles Angels
(CL) Ernesto Frieri (R)– Recorded his 10th save of the season on Thursday after working out of a base loaded jam in the ninth inning. He gave up two hits and one walk in the outing while striking out two batters. (06/29/12)
(SU) Scott Downs (L)–Picked up his 14th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Downs’ earned-run average went down to 0.35 on the season. (06/29/12)
(MR) Jordan Walden (R)–Took the loss on Friday night after giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in the seventh inning. With this appearance Walden falls to 2-2 on the season with a 3.00 earned-run average. (06/30/12)
Minnesota Twins
(CL) Glen Perkins (L)–Picked up his 10th hold of the season on Monday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. Jared Burton was given the save chance for the second night in a row, so maybe the Twins are leaning towards him over Perkins in the ninth inning role. (06/26/12)
(CL) Jared Burton (R)–Recorded his second save of the season on Monday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one walk in the outing. Burton was used in the ninth inning for the second night in a row and maybe has the upper hand on Glenn Perkins to close games for the Twins. (06/26/12)
(MR)–Alex Burnett (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation giving up one walk on 14 pitches thrown. With this appearance Burnett lowered his earned-run average to 1.88 on the season. (06/30/12)

New York Yankees
(CL) Rafael Soriano (R)–Recorded his 17th save of the season on Wednesday afternoon despite giving up one run on two hits and two walks while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. Soriano has now pitched back-to-back days and three of the last four games, so a day off may be in line for Soriano on Thursday. (06/28/12)
(SU) David Robertson (R)–Took the loss on Thursday after giving up one run on one hit in the ninth inning. Robertson was also charged with his second blown-save of the year after giving up a home run to Dayan Viciedo with no one on in the inning. (06/29/12)
(MR) Boone Logan (R)–Picked up his 10th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching 0.1 innings of relief. Oakland Athletics
(CL) Ryan Cook(R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday night after relieving Gran Balfour in the eighth inning. He gave up one hit while striking out one batter on five pitches thrown. (06/30/12)
(SU) Grant Balfour (R)–Picked up his ninth hold of the season on Friday despite taking the loss after surrendering four runs on one hit and three walks in the eighth inning. This was Balfour’s worst appearance since being removed from the closer’s role so hopefully he can bounce back from this one. (06/30/12)
(MR) Brian Fuentes (L)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Saturday surrendering three runs on two hits and three walks. Fuentes has fallen apart at the seams since losing the closer role, and it would be surprising if he ends up being removed from the bullpen all together with another outing like this one. (06/24/12)

(SU) Edward Mujica (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday night giving up one hit in the outing. This was Mujica’s first appearance since Tuesday, so expect him to be available for the rest of the weekend. (06/30/12)
(MR) Steve Cishek (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Monday night giving up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. The run was not earned, so his earned-run average stays at 2.61 after this appearance. (06/26/12)
Milwaukee Brewers
(CL) John Axford (R)–Took the loss on Tuesday night after giving up a game-winning home run to Drew Stubbs in the eighth inning. Axford have looked awful as of late, and the Brewers are starting to lose patience with their closer. (06/27/12)

(SU) Jon Rauch (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Monday night giving up four runs on one walk while striking out one batter. All of the runs were unearned, but once again Rauch did not look good on the mound. (06/26/12)

(MR) Jeremy Horst (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Horst has now pitched in consecutive days and has three strikeouts in two innings of relief. (06/30/12)
