Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 23rd save of the season on Friday night despite giving up one run on two hits in the ninth inning. Despite giving up one run, Johnson is still sitting on a 1.30 earned-run average on the season. (06/30/12)

Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 13th hold of the season on Friday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out on five pitches thrown. (06/30/12)

Darren O’Day (R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday after giving up one run on four hits in the seventh inning. Despite the rough outing, O’Day is still sitting on a 2.38 earned-run average on the season. (06/30/12)

Boston Red Sox

Alfredo Aceves (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless 10th inning. He retired all three batters he faced in order forcing three fly ball outs on five pitches thrown. (07/02/12)

Vicente Padilla (R)–Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit and one walk in the outing. He needed 16 pitches to get through the appearance and is now 2-0 on the season. (07/02/12)

Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched 0.2 inning of relief on Saturday giving up two hits while striking out one batter. Melancon has been solid since returning from the Minors earlier in the month and looks to be here to stay. (07/01/12)

He was saved by a great catch by Alex Rios on a ball that Derek Jeter hit to the wall which would’ve won the game for the Yankees, but luckily Rios was able to make a great play to hold onto the win. Matt Thornton (L)– Pitched one inning of relief on Friday night giving up one run on three hits while striking out one batter. He was used in the seventh inning, which is earlier than most of his appearances this season, but it was in a non-pressure situation. (06/30/12)

Hector Santiago (L)–Picked up the win on Thursday after pitching one inning of relief giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. It wasn’t the best of outings from Santiago, but it was nice to see him keep it together and pick up the win. (06/29/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out two batters. Perez has pitched two of the last three days, but expect him to be available for Monday’s game against the Angels. (07/02/12) (SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Picked up his 19th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out two batters in the appearance. Pestano needed only 11 pitches to get through the appearance with seven pitches going over for strikes. (07/02/12)

Tony Sipp (L)–Pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation striking out one batter on 10 pitches thrown. Sipp has been inconsistent this season, but today as a step in the right direction. (07/01/12)

Jose Valverde (R)–Recorded his 15th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. Valverde has now pitched back-to-back days and may get the day off on Monday. (07/02/12)

Joaquin Benoit (R)–Picked up his 19th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out two batters in the outing. He needed 14 pitches to get through the appearance with eight pitches going over for strikes. (07/02/12)

Phil Coke (L)–Picked up his 13th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning giving up two hits while striking out one batter. With this outing Coke lowered his earned-run average to 3.51 on the season. (07/02/12)

Kansas City Royals

Jonathan Broxton (R)–Recorded his 20th save of the season on Friday night despite giving up two runs on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning. This was a rough outing for Broxton and luckily for him the Royals had a big enough lead that he didn’t blow the game. (06/30/12)

Greg Holland (R)–Pitched one inning of relief in Game 2 of Saturday’s doubleheader giving up one hit and two walks while striking out two batters. He threw 28 pitches in the appearance and was able to escape unharmed. (07/01/12)

Aaron Crow (R)–Pitched one inning of relief giving up three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two batters. This was a rough outing for Crow and with this appearance he raised his earned-run average to 3.34 on the season. (07/02/12)

Scott Downs (L)–Picked up his 14th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Downs’ earned-run average went down to 0.35 on the season. (06/29/12)

Jordan Walden (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday surrendering three runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two batters. Luckily for Walden the Angles had a big lead in this one or else he probably would’ve taken the loss. (07/02/12)

Minnesota Twins
(CL) Glen Perkins (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday giving up three runs on four hits in the outing. This was a bad appearance for Perkins, but at least the Twins had a big enough lead that it didn’t matters too much. (07/02/12)

Jared Burton (R)–Picked up his 12th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit and one walk while striking out two batters. He needed 29 pitches to get through the appearance and has now pitched back-to-back days. (07/02/12)

Alex Burnett (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning in Game 2 of Saturday’s doubleheader retiring all three batters he faced in order. He needed 13 pitches to get through the appearance with 10 pitches going over for strikes. (07/01/12)

Boone Logan (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Saturday afternoon giving up one walk in the appearance. The Yankees had a four run lead when he entered the game, but after giving up a walk he was relieved by Rafael Soriano to finish out the ninth inning. (07/01/12)

Brian Fuentes (L)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Saturday giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter. Fuentes has now given up six runs in his last three appearances and is in danger of being demoted if he continues down this road. (07/01/12)

Joel Peralta (R)–Peralta had a rough outing on Saturday in his first appearance since returning from suspension giving up three runs on two hits while striking out two batters. With Kyle Farnsworth back, Peralta will likely be used in the seventh inning rather than the eighth inning. (07/01/12)

Jose Arredondo (R)–Took the loss on Sunday after giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. Despite giving up the run, Arredondo is still sitting on a 2.12 earned-run average on the season. (07/02/12)

Jeremy Horst (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Horst has now pitched in consecutive days and has three strikeouts in two innings of relief. (06/30/12)
