Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 26th save of the season on Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. He forced two ground ball outs and one fly ball out on nine pitches to get the job done. (07/07/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this outing Strop lowered his earned-run average to 1.69 on the season. (07/06/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Picked up his fourth hold of the season on Friday night despite giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in the eighth inning. The run came via a Mike Trout solo-home run to bring the Angels within one run, but O’Day was able to get the job done before giving up the lead. (07/07/12)

Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his fourth blown-save of the season on Tuesday night after surrendering two runs on three hits. With this appearance Aceves falls to 0-6 on the season with a 4.32 earned-run average. (07/04/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday night after surrendering two runs on two hits in 0.1 innings of relief. Padilla has been pitching well as of late, but this appearance brings his earned-run average over 4.00 on the season. (07/07/12)
(MR) Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Friday giving up one hit while striking out two batters. Melancon has now pitched two innings in each of his last two appearances and is starting to cement his role in the Red Sox bullpen. (07/07/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 13th save of the season on Friday night despite giving up one run on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. It wasn’t the cleanest of outings, but Reed was able to settle down to earn the save. (07/07/12)
(SU) Matt Thornton (L)– Picked up his 13th hold of the season on Friday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief. He struck out both batters he faced in the appearance and lowered his earned-run average to 3.00 on the season. (07/07/12)
(MR) Hector Santiago (L)–Picked up the win on Thursday after pitching one inning of relief giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. It wasn’t the best of outings from Santiago, but it was nice to see him keep it together and pick up the win. (06/29/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Recorded his 24th save of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit in the outing. He needed only 11 pitches to get through the appearance forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs. (07/06/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Picked up his 21st hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Pestano lowered his earned-run average to 1.85 on the season. Kansas City Royals

(CL) Joe Nathan (R)–Recorded his 18th save of the season on Thursday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. This marked the third straight day that Nathan pitched so expend him to be unavailable on Friday. (06/29/12)
(SU) Mike Adams (R)–Took the loss on Wednesday after surrendering one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two batters in the ninth inning. With this outing Adams falls to 1-3 on the season with a 3.18 earned-run average. (07/05/12)

(SU) Eric O’Flaherty (L)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night giving up one hit and one walk while striking out two batters. O’Flaherty has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely be given the day off on Saturday. (07/07/12)
(MR) Kris Medlen (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Thursday giving up one hit in the outing. With Jonny Venters on the disabled list expect Medlen to be used in more hold situations which will increase his fantasy value. (07/06/12)

(MR) Shawn Camp (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday night needing only four pitches to get through the appearance. With this appearance Camp lowered his earned-run average to 2.86 on the season. (07/07/12)

(CL) Aroldis Chapman (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out two batters in the outing. After hitting a rough patch Chapman has now put together back-to-back solid outings so it appears the skid may be over. (07/03/12)
(SU) Sean Marshall (L)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Thursday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one run on two hits. The run came via a Logan Forsythe home run in the eighth inning with no one on so it could’ve been worse for him. (07/06/12)
(MR) Jose Arredondo (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday giving up one walk while striking out one batter. With this appearance Arredondo lowered his earned-run average to 2.06 on the season. (07/05/12)

(MR) Luke Gregerson (R)–Picked up his second win of the season on Wednesday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief striking out both batters he faced. He has now pitched back-to-back das and three of the last four, so expect Gregerson to get the day off on Thursday. (07/05/12)

San Francisco Giants
(CL) Santiago Casilla (R)–Casilla was unavailable to pitch on Friday due to a finger injury and in his absence Sergio ROmo converted a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his fifth save. Although Casilla’s job is safe for now, be sure to keep your eye on Romo’s production especially if Casilla continues to struggle. (07/07/12)
(SU) Sergio Romo (R)–Recorded his fifth save of the season on Friday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. The Giants announced before the game that Santiago Casilla would be out with an injury, so Romo did not take over the closer role although Casilla has been struggling. (07/07/12)
(MR) Javier Lopez (L)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Friday night after giving up a home run on the eighth inning. He threw just five pitches in the outing with four going over for strikes. (07/07/12)

St. Louis Cardinals
(CL) Jason Motte (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season on Thursday after retiring the final batter of the ninth inning. Mitchell Boggs allowed two base runners which made it a save situation, and then Motte came in to clean up his mess. (07/06/12)
