Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 30th save of the season on Sunday despite giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. Johnson has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely be unavailable to pitch on Monday. (07/23/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 16th hold of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. Strop forced three ground ball outs in the appearance on 14 pitches thrown lowering his earned-run average to 1.47 on the season. (07/22/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Thursday giving up a walk to the only batter that he faced in the eighth inning. He threw 10 pitches in the appearance with six pitches going over for strikes. (07/20/12)

Boston Red Sox 
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter. This was his first outing since Thursday, so he will be available for the beginning of the series with the Rangers which begins on Monday. (07/23/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Pitches a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday giving up one hit while striking out two batters. With this appearance Padilla lowered his earned-run average to 3.60 on the season. (07/22/12)
(MR) Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Sunday surrendering four runs on five hits. This was Melancon’s first bad outing since being recalled from Triple-A, so hopefully he will be able to rebound his next time out. (07/23/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Was charged with his third blown-save of the season on Thursday after giving up a walk-off home run to Cody Ross in the ninth inning. He threw just three pitches in the appearance and will look to put this one behind him in his next time out. (07/20/12)
(SU) Matt Thornton (L)– Took the loss on Thursday after giving up two runs on two hits in 0.1 innings of relief. He was charged with two runs that scored off of a Cody Ross three-run home run which raised his earned-run average to 3.86 on the season. (07/20/12) (MR) Brett Myers (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season on Monday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. He needed only 12 pitches to get through the appearance forcing two ground ball outs to go along with his strikeout. (07/17/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out three batters. This was Perez’s first appearance since Monday so expect him to be available for the rest of the weekend. (07/21/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. With this appearance Pestano lowered his earned-run average to 1.56 on the season while raising his strikeout total to 51. (07/22/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Saturday giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Sipp has now pitched back-to-back days so don’t expect to see him take the mound on Sunday. (07/22/12)

Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Valverde was not available to pitch on Sunday due to soreness in his back. Joaquin Benoit filled-in and picked up the save in his absence, but Valverde is expected to be available on Tuesday. (07/23/12)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)–Recorded his second save of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. He was filling in for Jose Valverde, who was unavailable, but expect him to be back in the eighth inning role when the Tigers resume play on Tuesday. (07/23/12)
(MR) Phil Coke (L)–Picked up his 16th hold of the season on Sunday despite giving up one run on one hit and one walk in 0.1 innings of relief. Coke was later relieved by Octavio Dotel after he was unable to get through the seventh inning. (07/23/12)

Kansas City Royals
(CL) Jonathan Broxton (R)–Took the loss on Friday night after giving up one run on two hits in the 11th inning. With this appearance Broxton falls to 1-2 on the season with a 2.34 earned-run average. (07/21/12)
(SU) Greg Holland (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Friday giving up one hit while striking out four batters. He needed 28 pitches to get through the appearance with 22 pitches going over for strikes. (07/21/12)

(SU) David Robertson (R)–Picked up his 11th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit while striking out two batters. With this appearance Robertson lowered his earned-run average to 2.20 on the season. (CL) Ryan Cook(R)–Picked up the win on Friday night despite being charged with his fourth blown-save after giving up one run on one hit while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. (SU) Grant Balfour (R)–Pitched a scoreless 10th inning on Sunday giving up two hits while striking out two batters. He needed 16 pitches to get through the appearance with 11 pitches going over for strikes. (07/23/12)
(MR) Jordan Norberto (L)-Pitched 2.1 innings of relief on Sunday giving up one hit and one walk while striking out three batters. He threw 41 pitches in the appearance so the day off on Monday should give him enough rest to be available for the team’s next game on Tuesday. (07/23/12)

Seattle Mariners
(CL) Tom Wilhelmsen (R)–Recorded his 10th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Wilhelmsen has now pitched three straight days and will likely be unavailable on Monday against the Yankees. (07/23/12)

(MR) Bryan Shaw (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Friday night giving up three runs on three hits while striking out three batters. Luckily for Shaw the Diamondbacks had a huge lead, or else this could have been a lot worse of a situation. (07/21/12)

Atlanta Braves
(CL) Craig Kimbrel (R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Friday night after giving up one run on one hit while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. The blow came via a Danny Espinosa home run with one out in the inning, but Kimbrel was able to bounce back from it and get through the inning. (07/21/12)
(SU) Eric O’Flaherty (L)–Picked up the win on Friday after pitching a scoreless 10th inning giving up one hit in the outing. With this appearance O’Flaherty improved to 2-0 on the season with a 2.80 earned-run average. (07/21/12)
(MR) Jonny Venters (L)–Pitched two innings of relief on Sunday giving up one hit while striking out two batters. This was Venters’ first outing since returning from the disabled-list and appears to be fully recovered from the injury. (07/23/12)

Chicago Cubs
(CL) Carlos Marmol (R)–Recorded his 11th save of the season on Thursday despite giving up one run on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out on 26 pitches thrown. (07/20/12)
(SU) James Russell (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Saturday surrendering six runs on four hits and two walks. This outing raised Russell’s earned-run average to 3.63 on the season in what was his worst outing this year. (07/22/12)
(MR) Shawn Camp (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Wednesday giving up one hit in the outing. The game was called due to rain, so if that didn’t happen Camp would have stayed in the game to face more batters. (07/19/12) 

Cincinnati Reds
(CL) Aroldis Chapman (L)–Recorded his 17th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one walk while striking out two batters. Washington Nationals
