(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 30th save of the season on Sunday despite giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. Johnson has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely be unavailable to pitch on Monday. (07/23/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation giving up one walk in the outing. This was Strop’s first appearance since Saturday, so expect him to be available the next few days. (07/26/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Pitched a scoreless inning of relief on Tuesday night giving up one walk while striking out two batters. He needed 19 pitches to get through the appearance with `0 pitches going over for strikes. (07/25/12)

Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Recorded his 21st save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one walk in the outing. He needed only eight pitches to get through the appearance forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (07/25/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Picked up the win on Tuesday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one hit while striking out two batters. With this appearance Padilla improved to 4-0 on the season with a 3.50 earned-run average. (07/25/12)

Kansas City Royals

Milwaukee Brewers
(CL)Francisco Rodriguez (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his sixth blown-save of the season on Wednesday after giving up two runs on two hits and one walk in the 10th inning. Rodriguez has now blown back-to-back saves falling to 2-6 on the season. (07/26/12)
(MR) John Axford (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Wednesday retiring all six batters he faced in order. With the recent struggles of Francisco Rodriguez, Axford may be in line to regain the closer role sooner than later. (07/26/12)
(MR) Kameron Loe (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his fifth blown-save on Tuesday night after surrendering one run on two hits in 0.1 innings of relief. Manny Parra blew a five-run league entering the inning, and then Loe was used to get out of the jam and was unsuccessful (07/25/12)
