(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 33rd save of the season on Monday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up two hits while striking out one batter. Johnson has now pitched three consecutive days and will likely get the day off on Tuesday. (08/07/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 18th hold of the season on Monday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one walk while striking out one batter. With this appearance Strop lowered his earned-run average to 1.29 on the season. (08/07/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Sunday retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out on six pitches. (08/06/12)

Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Recorded his 23rd save of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning striking out one batter in the appearance. He has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely get the day off on Monday. (08/06/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Sunday allowing three runs on two hits and one walk. He allowed two home runs in the appearance which lead to being replaced by Alfredo Aceves to get the job done. (08/06/12)
(MR) Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Sunday giving up one hit while striking out two batters. Melancon has now put together three straight solid relief appearances and has three strikeouts in his last 2.2 innings. (08/06/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 20th save of the season on Monday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit. Reed has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely get the day off on Tuesday. (08/07/12)
(SU) Brett Myers (R)–Picked up his third hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one fly ball out and has yet to give up an earned-run since joining the White Sox. (08/06/12)
(MR) Matt Thornton (L)– Took the loss on Saturday after pitching one inning of relief giving up one run on two hits. With this appearance Thornton falls to 4-7 on the season with a 3.64 earned-run average. (08/05/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his third blown-save on Sunday after surrendering five runs on three hits and two walks in the 10th inning. He only recorded two outs in the inning before Miguel Cabrera hit a walk-off two-run home run. (08/06/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Sunday after pitching two scoreless innings of relief. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing three fly ball outs on 23 pitches thrown. (08/06/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Monday night giving up one run on two hits while striking out one batter. He needed 21 pitches to get through the appearance with 13 pitches going over for strikes. (08/07/12)

Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was his first appearance since last Wednesday so expect him to be available for the rest of the series with the Yankees. (08/07/12)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Sunday surrendering two runs on two hits. He allowed two home runs in the appearance, which raised his earned-run average to 3.10 on the season. (08/06/12)
(MR) Phil Coke (L)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Sunday giving up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter. Coke has now given up an earned-run in each of his last three appearances and will need to turn things around to keep him relevant in holds leagues.  (08/06/12)

Kansas City Royals
(CL) Greg Holland (R)–Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching two scoreless innings of relief giving up three hits and two walks while striking out two batters. Holland threw 46 pitches in this game, so he may be given the day off on Monday. (08/06/12)
(SU) Aaron Crow (R)–Was charged with his fifth blown-save of the season on Sunday after giving up one run on two hits and one walk in 0.1 innings of relief. With this appearance Crow raised hit earned-run average to 3.77 on the season. (08/06/12)

Minnesota Twins

(MR) Jordan Norberto (L)–Pitched 3.2 innings of relief on Saturday giving up four hits while striking out four batters. He threw 64 pitches in the appearance so don’t expect him to be used on Sunday. (08/05/12)

Seattle Mariners
(CL) Tom Wilhelmsen (R)–Recorded his 15th save of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. He retired all three batters he faced in order while forcing two ground ball outs and one fly ball out on 18 pitches thrown. (08/02/12)
(SU) Lucas Luetge (L)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Sunday giving up one walk in the outing. With this appearance Luetge lowered his earned-run average to 1.78 on the season which is the best in the Mariners bullpen. (08/06/12)
(MR) Shawn Kelley (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Sunday giving up just one hit in the appearance. He needed 13 pitches to get through the appearance forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/06/12)

(SU) Joel Peralta (R)–Took the loss on Sunday after giving up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter.  Peralta falls to 1-4 on the season after Sunday’s outing, but he as been pitching well as of late. (08/06/12)
(MR) Kyle Farnsworth (R)–Picked up his fourth hold of the season on Friday night after pitching a scoreless seventh inning. He retired all three batters he faced in order forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs on just eight pitches thrown. (08/04/12)

Texas Rangers
(CL) Joe Nathan (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday night giving up one run on two hits and one walk. He gave up a meaningless home run in the ninth inning and has now given up four runs in his last two appearances. He has also pitched back-to-back days and could get eh day off on Friday. (08/03/12)
(SU) Mike Adams (R)–Picked up his 19th hold of the season on Saturday after striking out the only batter he faced to end the eighth inning. He needed six pitches to get through the appearance with three pitches going over for strikes. (08/05/12)
(MR) Robbie Ross (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday giving up two walks while striking out one batter. With this appearance Ross lowered his earned-run average to 1.68 on the season and has now struck out five batters in his last three innings of relief. (08/06/12)

(SU) David Hernandez (R)–Was charged with his fifth blown-save of the season on Sunday after giving up one run on three hits in the eighth inning. He was quickly relieved by Takashi Saito after giving up the run and he was able to stop the bleeding. (08/06/12) (MR) Takashi Saito (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Sunday forcing the only batter that he faced to fly out on three pitches thrown. With this appearance Saito lowered his earned-run average to 1.50 on the season. (08/06/12)

Atlanta Braves
(CL) Craig Kimbrel (R)–Recorded his 31st save of the season on Friday night after striking out the side in the ninth inning. Kimbrel has now struck out eight batters in his last three innings of relief and has now pitched back-to-back days. (08/04/12)

(MR) Jonny Venters (L)–Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one walk while striking out one batter. With this appearance Venters improved to 4-3 on the season and has looked sharp since returning from the disabled-list. (08/06/12)

(MR) Sean Marshall (L)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Saturday retiring all three batters he faced in order. With this appearance Marshall lowered his earned-run average to 2.36 on the season. (08/05/12)

(MR) Kameron Loe (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday giving up one run on three hits in the appearance. Loe needed 17 pitches to get through the appearance forcing two ground ball outs to get through the inning. (08/06/12)

New York Mets
(CL) Frank Francisco (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season on Saturday after retiring the final two batters of the ninth inning. He threw just two pitches in the appearance, which was his first appearance since returning from the disabled list. (08/05/12)
