Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 34th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. He needed 14 pitches to get through the appearance forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/13/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 19th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He gave up one walk in the appearance while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown in the outing. (08/13/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Tuesday night giving up one hit and one walk while striking out three batters. With this appearance O’Day lowered his earned-run average to 2.45 on the season. (08/15/12)

Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out on 12 pitches thrown. (08/13/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Sunday allowing three runs on two hits and one walk. He allowed two home runs in the appearance which lead to being replaced by Alfredo Aceves to get the job done. (08/06/12)
(MR) Andrew Bailey (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night giving up one walk while striking out one batter. This was Bailey’s first appearance since returning from the disabled-list and will likely get a shot at some saves down the line. (08/15/12)

(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 21st save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching 1.1 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Reed lowered his earned-run average to 3.83 on the season. (08/15/12)
(SU) Brett Myers (R)–Picked up his fourth hold of the season on Tuesday after retiring the final batter of the seventh inning. Myers threw just three pitches in the outing but has now pitched in back-to-back games and may get the day off on Wednesday. (08/15/12)
(MR) Matt Thornton (L)– Picked up his 18th hold of the season on Tuesday night after pitching 0.2 inning of relief giving up one hit in the outing. With this appearance Thornton lowered his earned-run average to 3.83 on the season. (08/15/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Recorded his 32nd save of the season on Monday night after striking out the side in the ninth inning. Perez hit a rough patch earlier last week but has now put together three straight solid outings so it appears he is back on track. (08/14/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Picked up his 32nd hold of the season on Monday despite giving up two runs on one hit and one walk in the eighth inning. Despite the rough outing, Pestano is still sitting on a 1.56 earned-run average on the season. (08/14/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Picked up his 12th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out on seven pitches thrown. (08/10/12)

Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter in the appearance. He needed 22 pitches to get through the appearance with 17 pitches going over for strikes. (08/15/12)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Monday night giving up one run on two hits while striking out one batter in the appearance. Benoit has been struggling as of late and has now given up five run in his last three appearances combined. (08/14/12)
(MR) Phil Coke (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Monday giving up one hit in the appearance on just seven pitches thrown. Coke was able to end the sixth inning by forcing a double-play but was only used to get the two outs before being replaced by Duane Below. (08/14/12)

Kansas City Royals

(SU) Aaron Crow (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday giving up one run on one walk in the appearance. The run was unearned, so his earned-run average was not affected by this matchup and is currently sitting at 3.61 on the season. (08/13/12)

(MR) Jason Isringhausen (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday night in a non-save situation giving up one walk in the outing. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing two fly ball outs on 18 pitches thrown. (08/14/12)

(SU) David Robertson (R)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season on Saturday afternoon after pitching 0.2 innings of relief. He threw just one pitch in the appearance forcing a double play to get out of the eighth inning. (08/12/12)
(MR) Boone Logan (R–Picked up his 14th hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching 0.1 innings of relief. He threw just three pitches in the appearance forcing one ground ball out to get out of the eighth inning. (08/09/12)

Oakland Athletics
(CL) Grant Balfour (R)–Recorded his eighth save of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. Balfour is officially back in the mix for save chances with the Athletics electing to go with a closer by committee so expect him and Ryan Cook to split the save chances moving forward. (08/12/12)
(CL) Ryan Cook(R)–Picked up the win on Saturday after pitching 1.1 innings of relief giving up two hits while striking out one batter. Despite losing the closer role Cook should still get some save chances, but they will be split with Grant Balfour moving forward. (08/12/12)

(SU) Lucas Luetge (L)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night forcing the only batter that he faced to fly out on three pitches thrown. With this appearance Luetge lowered his earned-run average to 2.56 on the season. (08/15/12)

(MR) Kyle Farnsworth (R)–Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up just one hit in the appearance. With this outing Farnsworth improved to 1-3 on the season with a 4.26 earned-run average. (08/13/12)

Texas Rangers
(CL) Joe Nathan (R)–Recorded his 23rd save of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out three batters. Nathan has now pitched back-to-back days, but with a day off on Thursday he will be ready to go for this weekend’s series with the Tigers. (08/09/12)
(SU) Mike Adams (R)–Picked up the win on Saturday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one hit in the outing. With this appearance Adams improved to 2-3 on the season and is currently sitting on a 2.92 earned-run average. (08/12/12)
(MR) Robbie Ross (L)–Picked up his seventh hold of the season on Sunday after recording the final out of the seventh inning. He forced the only batter that he faced to fly out in the appearance and has now pitched back-to-back days. (08/13/12)
Injured–Koji Uehara (15-Day DL)

Toronto Blue Jays
(CL) Casey Janssen (R)–Was charged with his second second blown-save of the season on Monday night after giving up one run on two hits in the ninth inning. Janssen has pitched great this season, so don’t expect this outing to result in any bullpen moves. (08/14/12)
(SU) Brandon Lyon (R)–Picked up his third blown-save as a member of the Blue jays on Monday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out two batters. Lyon has now struck out five batters in his last 2.2 innings of relief. (08/14/12)
(MR) Steve Delabar (R)–Picked up the win on Monday night after pitching two innings of relief facing just seven batters and striking out six of them. With this appearance Delabar improved to 3-1 on the season with a 4.06 earned-run average. (08/14/12)

Arizona Diamondbacks
(CL) J.J. Putz (R)–Recorded his 22nd save of the season on Sunday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief giving up one walk while striking out one batter in the appearance. With this outing Putz lowered his earned-run average to 3.35 on the season. (08/13/12)

(MR) Bryan Shaw (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Tuesday night surrendering three runs on three hits and one walk. This was a terrible outing for Shaw who has made just two appearances since being called up and another outing like this may get him sent down once again. (08/15/12)

Atlanta Braves
(CL) Craig Kimbrel (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out two batters. Kimbrel has now struck out seven batters in his last three innings of relief bringing his total to 77 on the season. (08/15/12)
(SU) Eric O’Flaherty (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit in the appearance. With this appearance O’Flaherty improved his earned-run average to 2.38 on the season. (08/14/12)
(MR) Jonny Venters (L)–Picked up his 16th hold of the season on Tuesday night after giving up one walk while striking out two batters in the appearance. With this appearance Venters lowered his earned-run average to 3.63 on the season. (08/15/12)

Chicago Cubs
(CL) Carlos Marmol (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation giving up one walk while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown. With this appearance Marmol lowered his earned-run average to 4.46 on the season. (08/13/12)

(MR) Shawn Camp (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Sunday retiring all three batters he faced in order on eight pitches thrown. With this appearance Camp lowered his earned-run average to 3.72 on the season. (08/13/12)

Cincinnati Reds
(CL) Aroldis Chapman (L)–Recorded his 28th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With a day off on Monday expect Chapman to be available on Tuesday when the Reds take on the Mets. (08/13/12)
(SU) Jonathan Broxton (R)–Picked up his third hold of the season on Friday despite giving up two runs on two hits and one walk in 0.2 innings of relief. Broxton recorded the first two outs of the eighth inning but was quickly replaced by Aroldis Chapman who cleaned up his mess. (08/11/12)
(MR) Sean Marshall (L)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night giving up one walk while striking out two batters in the appearance. With this outing Marshall lowered his earned-run average to 2.82 on the season. (08/15/12)

(MR) Matt Reynolds (L)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night forcing the only batter that he faced to fly out on three pitches thrown. With this appearance Reynolds lowered his earned-run average to 4.34 on the season. (08/15/12)

Houston Astros
(CL) Wilton Lopez (R)–Picked up the win on Saturday despite being charged with his second blown-save of the season after giving up eon run on three hits in two innings of relief. With this appearance Lopez improved to 5-1 on the season and he doesn’t need to worry about losing the closer role despite blowing the save chance. (08/12/12)
(SU) Fernando Rodriguez (R)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Thursday night giving up one run on two hits in the outing. With this appearance Rodriguez raised his earned-run average to 5.63 on the season after giving up a home run in the outing. (08/10/12)
(MR) Rhiner Cruz (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation giving up one walk in the outing. He needed 16 pitches to get through the appearance striking out one batter while forcing two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/15/12)

Los Angeles Dodgers
(CL) Kenley Jansen (R)–Recorded his 23rd save of the season on Monday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning striking out one batter. He needed only seven pitches to get through the appearance lowering his earned-run average to 1.84 on the season. (08/14/12)
(SU) Ronald Belisario (R)–Picked up his 20th hold of the season on Monday despite giving up two runs on three hits in the eighth inning. Belisario has slipped as of late, but he is still pitching well enough to keep the setup role for the time-being. (08/14/12)
(MR) Brandon League (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Saturday surrendering three runs on three hits and one walk. League has now given up four runs over his last 1.1 innings of relief and has yet to find a groove since coming to the Dodgers. (08/12/12)
Injured–Matt Guerrier (15-Day DL), Todd Coffey (15-Dal DL)

Miami Marlins
(CL) Steve Cishek (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night  striking out the only batter he faced in the appearance on six pitches thrown. With this appearance Cishek lowered his earned-run average to 1.88 on the season. (08/15/12)
(SU) Heath Bell (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Sunday surrendering four runs on four hits in the appearance. Bell has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely get the day off on Monday against the Phillies. (08/13/12)
(MR) Mike Dunn (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Tuesday night giving up one hit while striking out one batter in the appearance on 13 pitches thrown. With this appearance Dunn lowered his earned-run average to 3.78 on the season. (08/15/12)

Milwaukee Brewers
(CL) Jim Henderson (R)–Took the loss on Saturday after giving up one run on two hits and two walks in the ninth inning. He struck out three batters in the appearance, but couldn’t get around the base runners, which caused him to fall to 0-1 on the season. (08/12/12)
(CL) John Axford (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night needing just five pitches to strike out the only batter he faced in the seventh inning. Axford has now pitched just 0.1 innings in each of his last two appearances which shows that the team does not have confidence in him closing games for the time being. (08/15/12)
(SU) Francisco Rodriguez (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Monday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing one fly ball out on just eight pitches thrown. (08/14/12)

(MR) Juan Cruz (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Monday giving up one run on two walks in the appearance. Cruz has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely get a day of rest on Tuesday especially since he just came off of the disabled-list. (08/141/12)

San Diego Padres

(MR) Alex Hinshaw (L)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Sunday giving up eon hit and one walk while striking out one batter. He got himself into a jam but was able to get out of it by forcing two fly ball outs to go along with his strikeout. (08/13/12)

(CL) Jeremy Affeldt (L)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Monday night giving up one hit while striking out two batters in the appearance. With this appearance Affeldt lowered his earned-run average to 2.51 on the season. (08/14/12)
(CL) Sergio Romo (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Sunday in a non-save situation retiring both batters he faced in order. He needed seven pitches to get through the appearance with six pitches going over for strikes. (08/13/12)
(MR) Santiago Casilla (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Monday night giving up two hits in the outing. This was Casilla’s first appearance since losing the closer role late last week, so this will be the type of situation he will be sued in moving forward. (08/14/12)

(MR) Marc Rzepczynski (L)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Sunday after surrendering two runs on two walks in the eighth inning. With this appearance Rzepczynski raised his earned-run average to 5.02 on the season. (08/13/12)

Washington Nationals
